PRODA - Provider Digital Access

Overview

PRODA is an online identity verification and authentication system used by Services Australia. It lets you securely access government online services.

PRODA is a prerequisite for all Medicare Online and Australian Immunisation Register services accessed in SAAS Web.

PRODA Registration

Note that the authorised person for your Practice/Organisation must first be registered as an individual in PRODA before the organisation account can be registered. The authorised person must be listed as an Associate for that organisation on the Australian Business Register (ABR) which is operated by the Australian Taxation Office.

Full instructions on how to complete your PRODA Registration are available on-line from the Australian Government Services Australia website.

The following information is available on the Services Australia website to assist users with creating their PRODA Production credentials.

It is beneficial for users to ensure they have the necessary identity documents, before creating their PRODA Individual account – see links below.

Minor ID / Location ID

The Minor ID (also known as the Location ID) is provided by SAAS Medical Systems.

We will provide a Minor ID for each Clinic (i.e. for each Location) that your Practice uses.

The SAAS Web structure allows you to create any number Clinics within a Practice. If you configure multiple Clinics, then you will require a Minor ID (Location ID) for each Clinic..

The Minor ID provided by SAAS Medical Systems must be entered in the Clinic Configuration screen (as shown below).

Minor ID(s) will be allocated during the on-boarding process. If additional Clinics are established later, then you must request additional Minor ID from SAAS Support.

Register a B2B Device

A B2B Device lets your Practice/Organisation get authorised access to a Service Australia services provider via SAAS Web.

You will need to log on to PRODA to Register a New B2B Device

Device Activation

When you have the Device Activation code provided by PRODA - navigate to the PRODA Menu screen.

Go to Administration > Administration Setup > PRODA Setting

Remember that the Activation Code is time-limited

From the PRODA Menu - select Activate Device

In the Activate B2B Device screen (as shown below) - Paste (or type) the Activation Code provided by PRODA.

Then click on Activate Device

PRODA Key Refresh

PRODA Keys are automatically refreshed in SAAS Web - and there is normally no requirement to perform a 'manual' key refresh.

However - if you expect to be off-line for more than a week - then 1st performing a Manual Key Refresh will allow a period of (currently) 11 days before the PRODA Key expires.
